Which bathroom would you choose when buying a home? ?
We’re selling a 3 bed 1 1/2 bath twin house in Philadelphia. We will be pricing the home between $270K-$300K. The whole home will be remodeled. The neighborhood is very suburban & family oriented and the targeted buyers will be young couples with growing children.
I’m having a dispute with the seller…having ONE SMALL MASTER BATH 6′ x 6′, which bathroom would you choose to have traditional or super modern?
Here are picture to compare the STYLES (the seller wants to buy that exact modern shower one piece and I suggest that simple and classic tiled tub/shower is the way to go)

Maybe it’s just me, but the modern shower looks scary. I like the classic style. (but not the black trim around the shower) I’m interested to know what the rest of the house looks like. I think the classic style will appeal to more buyers and will be easier to sell when the property is resold. Whoever buys it can always add modern touches like modern styled faucets, sinks, lighting, etc.

Modern is good when done well. Those pictures looked like a space ship. Way too much in a small space. You can either go modern, clean and understated or better yet you can never go wrong with classic.

i really like the first one on the classic side. the second one looks too much like a room and the third one is too…how do you say, old fashioned and flowery? like the kind rich people have…i don’t know, i didn’t really like the modern one, it wasn’t really homey.
